The sushi rolls and nigiri are all very well-made and the sashimi is very fresh. Very satisfied with the generous portions in the salmon crunch roll. A lot of sushi places get the rice wrong, but not Matane, theirs is just right. Best place of sushi takeaway in town, no doubt.
First order from this new sushi restaurant in Castle Meadow. Very impressed with quality and freshness of the sushi platter we ordered. It was made freshly for us as a takeaway and we had a delightful green tea whilst we waited. Highly recommended We will be back soon!
We are still inside whilst doing this It has been a long time since we ve had sushis and we couldnt be any happier with our meal at Matane Sushi! Super nice and friendly staff we loved our food. Now the spicy miso soup (Shirachi) is the way to go! We will definitely be back for sure. Soooo gooood!!!!!
The best sushi in Norwich, and some of the best tasting sushi I've ever eaten. Always fresh, always quick to order, reasonably priced. Salmon Lovers is an absolute 10/10. This is a must visit for people that like sushi!
Thanks for bringing some pretty decent sushi in town. I’d recommend visit it instead of the usual chain restaurants as you get such better quality. You can order and wait or if you are in a rush you can pick from the ready made boxes. They also have a seating area to eat in if you don’t want to take away. If you are celebrating with friends they have big shared platter options, like the 50 that was a good portion for 4 people.
I came to this place after hearing good things about it. In reality, every single word is less than this place deserves! One of the best sushi place I've been to! Still licking my fingers. Variety of dishes (including dumpling), excellent food. You just want more! Don't dare missing it. Dine in, order or take away. Amazing! Ohhh, and don't skip the cheesecake mochi as a desert!
I'm a sushi LOVER, and I have to admit I've walked past this place many times because it didn't look appealing from the outside. Today, I stopped by M&S for a quick sushi snack, but their offering was 6 and looked awful. So, I decided to check this place out, and I was blown away by the freshness of the fish. I got emotional with my first bite I didn’t realize it could taste this good! My husband and I usually go to Shiki because the owner is Japanese, and the food is great, but this place is way cheaper with flavors that feel much more premium. I mean it! From today this place officially become my new favorite sushi spot! I was the Filipino girl who got a takeaway earlier by the way..free meal perhaps for a lovely review? On a serious note... I don’t usually write reviews—this is only my second one ever—but this place deserves it. And yes, I know I have red wine in the photo; I’m aware it's traditionally paired with white but I’m just not a fan of white wine...sooo shhh... I'm a red wine lover through and through! Definitely will be coming back again
